Blog Crush - A Night With O.C. Bloggers

Marcy, Suz, and me at the blogger.
You may also know us as the Three
Disneyland Moms.
Although I don't live in Orange County, my social life does for the most part.  Because of that, I was graciously invited to join OC bloggers at the second annual Blogger Ball.  Hosted by Blog Crush and it's creators, Marcy Massura and Suzanne Broughton, the blogger ball was a fun night of networking, eating, drinking, and much talk of blog-related phenomena like RSS feeds, Twitter hash tags, and the best times to post.
The beautiful Embassy Suites Anaheim South provided the venue and food for the event.  Now, I'm not a foodie by any stretch, but I know what's yummy and the food was delicious.  The hotel graciously offered a carving station along with other delicious delights and a fabulous dessert and fruit table.  They were so incredibly kind and generous with the Orange County blogging community, I can only imagine how well they treat their guests!  The Embassy Suites Anaheim South is located only a mile or two from Disneyland and I hope to have the opportunity to stay there some time in the near future so that I can provide you with a complete review of this Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel.  Call it a hunch, but I think that this could very well be an ideal hotel for Disneyland out-of-towners given the fact that it has FREE parking, big rooms, and a Target across the street for all of the stuff you don't want to lug on your flight/in the car on the way to your vacation and for the things that you forget.

My friend Pam was my date and, yes,
I did buy her a corsage.  I am an
awesome date!
Blogger-friendly brands contributed to the event.  Snapfish provided gift cards with 50 free prints to each of the blogger.  I am giving my card to my son's kindergarten teacher, as she is constantly printing pictures for the students' memory books she gives out at the end of the year.  Fressh and Easy Markets provided all of the guests with $5 gift cards and samples of cool, all natural dinosaur bubble bath by Smith & Vandiver.  My kids loved these all natural bubbles.  They have really sensitive skin and it didn't bother them one bit.  Beyond the door prizes, numerous companies contributed to the night's big giveaways.  I was lucky enough to win a gift certificate for running shoes from Asics, which I cannot wait to receive and wear to the CHOC Walk.

If you are a blogger in Orange County, please be certain to check out Blog Crush and connect with other writers in your area.  If you are a company looking to connect with some outstanding, widely-read blogs, I highly recommend connecting with Brand Crush.  A division of BlogCrush, BrandCrush helps to coordinate blogging events for brands and businesses.  It offers complete online marketing consulting services from creating Twitter and Facebook presence to organizing events that can get hundreds of handpicked bloggers talking, tweeting and basically creating a wild grown buzz about your product in Southern California and beyond.

A wonderful and well written review. And let me say that there is really no better way to go to Disneyland than to stay at the ES. Kids have their own 'room', you have a fridge, coffee pot and sink AND a tram to the park every 20 minutes (no parking nightmares). It is made for families!
